Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (MH-IOP)

Intimate IOP Group Room Setting - Group Therapy for Mental Health, Addiction, Substance Abuse

It's your time to THRIVE

Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Often called Mental Health IOP, at Thrive we call it Mental Wellness IOP, reflecting our focus on whole-person care, growth, and well-being.  💚

Meaningful support. Personal connection. Room to Thrive. 💚

At Thrive Solutions, our Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program offers structured, compassionate care in a welcoming boutique setting. We bring heart and mind together to support the whole person, helping you build skills,  strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change while continuing to live at home.

Support for Your Mental Wellness

Our program supports people navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and emotional or relationship challenges. We also assess the needs of people living with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), bipolar disorder, and borderline  personality disorder to determine whether our program is an appropriate fit.

Your diagnosis is only one part of your story. Your experiences, strengths, and goals help guide your care.

Personalized Approaches to Healing

Treatment combines group therapy, individual therapy, clinical education, and care management. Depending on your needs and your clinician’s training, approaches may include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Exploring connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills: Practicing emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and healthy communication.
  • Trauma-informed care and inner child work: Exploring how earlier experiences shape current patterns while building self-compassion  and healthier responses.
  • EMDR: Individual trauma processing when appropriate and available with a trained therapist.
  • Mindfulness, somatic, and creative practices: Supporting grounding, awareness, and expression.
  • Family support: Strengthening understanding, communication, and supportive involvement.

For OCD, your assessment can include discussing specialized treatment needs, such as exposure and response prevention (ERP), and coordinating appropriate care.

Psychiatry That Complements Your Care

Psychiatric evaluations and medication management are separate services that can be paired with IOP when needed. Your therapist and psychiatric provider can collaborate to support  connected care aligned with your goals.

Schedule and Participation

Three or five days per week, based on your individualized treatment plan and clinical recommendations. Flexibility in schedule as we offer AM and PM groups.

Consistent participation helps you build connection, practice skills, and maintain progress.

Our Client Care Coordinators can review current group times and discuss how treatment fits alongside your responsibilities.

Support With Getting Started

Taking time for treatment can involve more than scheduling an appointment. Our Client Care Coordinators can help you understand the admission process and discuss practical next steps, including:

● Scheduling an assessment to determine the appropriate level of care

● Verifying insurance benefits and reviewing anticipated costs

● Discussing FMLA paperwork or other leave options when applicable

● Coordinating requests for clinically appropriate work absence letters or treatment verification

● Reviewing admission paperwork and scheduling requirements

● Identifying questions or barriers that may affect your ability to begin treatment

Let us help. We can help you understand what information or documentation may be needed.
