Substance Use & Mental Health Intensive Outpatient- IOP

Intimate IOP Group Room Setting - Group Therapy for Mental Health, Addiction, Substance Abuse

It's your time to THRIVE

Substance Use & Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) often called Co-Occurring IOP supporting both Substance use & Mental Health.

Connected care for recovery and wellness. 💚

At Thrive Solutions, we understand that substance use and mental health often affect one another. Our Co-Occurring Intensive Outpatient Program provides compassionate, structured treatment in a welcoming boutique setting for  people navigating addiction, alcohol or drug use, and related mental health challenges.

We treat the whole person, bringing heart and mind together to support recovery, connection, and meaningful change.

What Is Co-Occurring IOP?

IOP offers structured treatment while allowing you to live at home and practice new skills in everyday life. Our co-occurring approach addresses substance use disorders and mental health needs within one coordinated treatment  plan.

Whether you are continuing care after residential treatment or PHP, or seeking additional outpatient support, an assessment helps determine the right fit.

Care That Supports Your Goals

Your individualized treatment plan may include:

  • Group and individual therapy: Support for understanding patterns, processing experiences, and building recovery skills.
  • CBT and DBT-informed skills: Exploring thoughts and behaviors, managing emotions, and strengthening communication.
  • Recovery and relapse prevention: Recognizing triggers, navigating cravings, and developing practical strategies for alcohol and  drug use recovery.
  • Trauma-informed care: Exploring the relationship between past experiences, emotional distress, and substance use.
  • Clinical curriculum and neuroscience education: Understanding addiction, mental health, habits, and the nervous system.
  • Care management: Connecting with resources and addressing barriers to treatment.
  • Holistic and creative approaches: Supporting grounding, self-awareness, expression, and daily wellness.
  • Family support: Strengthening understanding, boundaries, communication, and supportive involvement.

Specific approaches and activities depend on your treatment needs and provider availability.

Schedule and Participation

Three or five days per week, based on your individualized treatment plan and clinical recommendations. Flexibility in schedule as we offer AM and PM groups.

Consistent participation creates opportunities to learn, connect, and strengthen recovery skills.

Contact us to review current morning and evening group options and discuss your schedule.

Additional Psychiatric Support

Psychiatric evaluations and medication management are separate services available alongside IOP when clinically appropriate. Your providers can coordinate care to support your  mental health and recovery goals.

Support With Getting Started

Taking time for treatment can involve more than scheduling an appointment. Our Client Care Coordinators can help you understand the admission process and discuss practical next steps, including:

● Scheduling an assessment to determine the appropriate level of care

● Verifying insurance benefits and reviewing anticipated costs

● Discussing FMLA paperwork or other leave options when applicable

● Coordinating requests for clinically appropriate work absence letters or treatment verification

● Reviewing admission paperwork and scheduling requirements

● Identifying questions or barriers that may affect your ability to begin treatment
